An Epic night of live music featuring 2 of the most legendary and powerful Afro-Uruguayan performers.

Born in Montevideo, to a Uruguayan father and a Brazilian mother,  Hugo Alberto Santos Nacimiento, nicknamed "Cheché" is a charismatic international composer and performer. He is a recognized figure in the Afro-Uruguayan culture specializing in Candombe and Brazilian music.  He has participated in coutless carnaval groups including: Concierto Lubolo, Morenada, Estrellas Negras, Cuareim 1080, Yambo Kenia and Bantu. 

He has performed in Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Brazil and in Europe.  He was also the lead singer of the group Negrocan.
His song "Zambullite"  was recorded by various artists, including Celia Cruz.  In 2017 he was name Ilustrious Citizen of Montevideo.  
One of the most energetic performers you will ever see.  "Che-Che" is thrilled to perform in North America for the first time!!

Eduardo Da Luz has been performing Candombe at a National and International level for nearly half a century. He has dedicated his life to the music of his homeland, and is widely considered “the ambassador of candombe”. In 1963 he started his career in Uruguay’s Carnaval celebrations where he participated with the majority of the local candombe groups. 

He has won over twenty personal awards, such as best choral arranger, and is credited with 12 first place prizes with the troupe Yambo Kenya. In 2013, 2015 and 2018 he received the distinguished award of best song writer and performer in the candombe category of Uruguay’s official carnaval competition.

His international travels have taken him to stages in Argentina, Peru, France, Spain, Australia, Canada, USA and Switzerland where he performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival and shared the stage alongside musicians such as Paul Simons and Santana, among others.

Accompanied by Toronto's renowned candombe band  "La Magia Candombe", Eduardo and Che-Che will captivate, entertain and have the audience dancing the entire night.
